Where has the summer gone?!
Updated: Sep 3, 2019
Summer.....we miss you already. But, you aren't "officially" over yet!

Our seasons have changed, that's for sure. Remember "spring"? The smell of the rain, the flowers starting to peek up through the damp ground, snow here and there, but chirping birds that made us feel assured that the winter was over and warmer days were to come.
Now, it seems winter goes on and on, and summer takes longer to arrive, but when it does, it's here in full force. Cold one minute, and hot, sticky days the next.
And then we are on to fall. From the feel of the last few days, perhaps autumn will be making an early appearance this year.
There are a few things about fall that make me smile. Cooler weather is a plus for me, and the falling leaves, "crisp" mornings, colors as the leaves change, apple desserts of every kind...are just a few more. Memories of the first few days of the school year and shopping for school supplies, make fall's arrival even more concrete.

Changing a few things in your home each season, can bring a fresh feeling. New pillows, rugs, blankets, lights, small decorative pieces, for example. Check out the products available on our website (and in the 154 Provost Street location), and choose some new treasures to make your home feel warm and friendly.

What your favourite season says about you (courtesy of verywellmind.com):
- If spring is your favorite, then you might crave new experiences and the spring season offers the chance of renewal that you need after a long, cold winter.
- If you are a summer lover, it can mean you like getting out and leading an active life. People might describe you as upbeat, personable, and assertive.
- A fall person? While parts of the world tend to think of spring as the season of renewal, fall is also a very good time for a fresh start. Vibrant colors and cooler weather of autumn appeal to your constant desire for change.
- Who out there likes winter? You might be a bit of an introverted homebody. Putting on a warm sweater and curling up on the couch with a hot beverage to escape the cold might sound like your idea of an ideal afternoon, or maybe winter sports and snow fun make you happy.
